COOKING WITH FIRE - CHESHIRE - 04/09/27

COOKING WITH FIRE - CHESHIRE - 04/09/27

£275.00

As the last days of summer give way to the first hints of autumn, we return to the Cheshire countryside for another COOKING WITH FIRE experience. At this time of year the hedgerows are heavy with ripening fruit, squirrels are busy gathering nuts and the woodlands are alive with the changing seasons.

We'll begin with a guided foraging walk through the surrounding countryside, discovering the wild ingredients hidden amongst the hedgerows and woodland edges. From juicy blackberries and elderberries to aromatic wild herbs and seeds, we'll explore their identification, flavours and uses in the kitchen.

From here, we'll make our way to our secluded woodland camp, where we'll spend the afternoon cooking over fire, sharing food and enjoying the last of the summer warmth.

Working with carefully sourced local produce, wild ingredients, meat and fish, we'll introduce you to some of our favourite dishes from the FIRE + WILD menu, sharing the recipes and techniques behind each course as we prepare them together around the fire.

We'll finish with a generous communal feast, enjoying everything we've cooked throughout the day alongside carefully selected wines and wild cocktails.

Join us for a day of fire cooking, wild food and traditional skills to mark the end of summer. This event takes place in a private woodland near Altrincham, Cheshire — around 20 minutes from Manchester. Further details and FAQS can be found below.

We'll teach you the fundamentals of cooking with fire - from wood selection and axe skills to building, managing and controlling heat. Guests will also learn how to prepare game birds, fish or locally sourced meat for cooking over an open flame, with opportunities to get hands-on throughout the day.

The tipi at camp provides a sheltered place to gather and eat, with a central cooking fire offering warmth should the weather turn.

The event starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm. Participants will need to make their own way to the meeting point (car park). Free onsite parking is provided. The full address and travel advice will be provided after booking. Not suitable for under 18s.
