GETTING TO US
In order to reduce our carbon footprint and to protect the natural environment we organise group transport to and from all of our events. Guests will be collected from the local train station at Lewes, East Sussex and must be ready for collection at the time specified in the booking details. Return transport will deliver you back to the station at the end of the event. For those travelling from further afield, regular direct trains depart from London Victoria with a total journey time of just over 1 hour. Discounted tickets can be booked in advance through www.southernrailway.com. If you are travelling by car please note that there is a long stay carpark available at Lewes station. The charge for a 24 hours parking is only £6.35. It is not possible to drive to us or park onsite.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE?
Your ticket includes entry to the event and a five course meal paired with wine, cocktails and other infusions. Return travel from Lewes station is also included.
What should I wear/BRING?
Our dress code is smart casual. All of our events take place outdoors. Whilst we always hope for pleasant conditions we recommend that you also bring a warm and waterproof layer. Please wear suitable outdoor footwear with ankle support.
What happens if it rains?
We will usually aim to provide an open air experience for our guests. In the event of wet weather a canopy will be placed over the tables and dining area. Unless we are experiencing extreme/dangerous weather, events will not be cancelled.
DO YOU CATER FOR VEGETARIANS & VEGANS?
We strongly support ethical and sustainable hunting, fishing and farming practices. Our dishes are designed to celebrate wild game and fish found in the British Isles. We focus on traditional techniques used to cook meat and fish over open fire. Our events are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
Do you cater for specific dietary requirements and allergies?
Due to the nature of our open air, wild kitchen and the collaborative foraging and food preparation process we simply cannot accommodate food allergies. We can however, disclose the ingredients of each dish, allowing you to make an informed decision about whether you wish to attend. If you have any specific enquiries about food please do not hesitate to contact us.
I don’t drink alcohol. Can I still attend?
Non drinkers are of course welcome and suitable non-alcoholic alternatives will be provided. Please include details when prompted at the time of booking.
What do I do if something happens and I cannot attend?
Tickets cannot be refunded or transferred, but can be exchanged between friends up to 7 days before the event, after which cancellations will be opened to the public for last minute bookings. We have a 15 minute window to collect guests from the pickup point. It is essential that you arrive on time. If you are late for whatever reason, you will miss your ride and will be unable to join us for the event.
What happens if we have to cancel the event?
In bad weather conditions we will always try to relocate the event to a suitable indoor location however, there may be extreme circumstances in which we would have no choice but to cancel the meal. If this happens guests will first be offered the opportunity to reallocate their ticket to a future event. If this is not convenient/possible then you will be offered a full refund. Please note this does not include any costs incurred through personal or public transport.
